Description

The Georgetown Club of the United Kingdom invites its alumni and friends to attend a lecture and exhibition tour of "Alexander Calder: Performing Sculpture" at the Tate Modern on Friday 12 February 2016.

The Tate Modern calls it the "largest ever exhibition of Alexander Calder, one of the truly ground-breaking artists of the 20th centry, and, as a pioneer of kinetic sculpture, played an essential role in shaping the history of modernism."

We will meet in the cafe at 6:30pm, the Lecture will begin in the Seminar Room at 7pm, followed by admission to the exhibition at 8pm. Once in the exhibition, you are welcome to stay as long as you wish; Tate Modern closes at 10pm on Fridays.

If you have any questions about this event, please contact: UKHoyas@gmail.com
